An in-depth education in Music Composition.

Since earning my Bachelors Degree from the University of Utah in Music Composition I have produced a Christmas album of piano arrangements, and original songs. It was played on two local radio stations, and will soon be available on cdbaby.net, itunes, amazon, facebook etc. I composed, produced, recorded, and edited the score for a movie entitled "The Measure of a Man: the story of Charles Coulsen Rich, Apostle of God" produced by Lee Groberg and Mark Goodman.
My teaching style consist of using a variety of learning technique and atmospheres. It is a good idea to study the habits and styles of other composers, classical and modern to get an idea of how that compares to the student's style. I love teaching & sharing new experiences in a creative way!

I was a natural born musician, started playing guitar at the age of 2. Later switched to piano and took formal lessons for 7 years. I have composed scores for several plays and small projects. I still compose music to this day. I gained an interest in French when I was in middle school. Russian Tutor Masters from BYU former BYU teacher

A Little Bit About Me...

A proverb I once heard best describes my teaching philosophy: "Tell me and I forget, show me and I remember, involve me and I become." Thus, my goal as a tutor is to help students discover for themselves. That way learning becomes not only more engaging, but more lasting as well.
After graduating from Utah State, I taught 2nd grade for a year at a charter school. It was a good experience, but I wanted the chance to work with students in a variety of settings. During the past school year, I was hired as the Spanish Specialist at another charter school which has been another great experience.
