I am a fan of Howard Gardner- I believe each student has his/her own learning style. Knowing these learning styles can help both teacher and student accomplish academic success. I also believe in a gradual release of responsibility on the student's part. Teaching vocabulary before the actual lesson can help the student understand more completely.

I have been tutoring for many years. I started at Sylvan Learning Centers, where I was there for two and one half years. I am proud to say I was successful in that I helped many students and that I was able to do this over a wide range of student needs.
