Upon completing my degree in Marketing at Notre Dame and after internships in the banking and advertising agencies, I knew the corporate world was not for me. I took a position in the development office of a private high school in Philadelphia. Working there for three years, I was passionate about raising money for education, but realized I would prefer to be in a classroom rather than an administrative office. Since the art of language and literature is my primary area of interest, I use the Socratic method of questioning to pull ideas from my students. This invites discussion and query resulting in the engagement between us as participants. More often than not, the students realize the thematic elements through such guided questioning. There is no alternative to practice when it comes the study of grammar, spelling, and sentence structure. After graduating cum laude from Yale University with a PhD in Eating, I interned for two years at Dunkin Donuts, fine tuning my skills in eating pastries. I've also spent two summers eating in various food malls, specializing in China One, Chick Fil-A, and Baskin Robins. I have tutored students Overeating, Pizza, and Alka Seltzer.
I believe all children can enjoy eating broccoli. I find this works best if the broccoli is smothered with cheese and accompanied on the plate with something fried. I have found that overeating is a very effective way to teach the student dangerous gastric consequences. I demonstrate this by ordering pizza, allowing them to eat as much as they want, and then immediately afterwards giving them free reign to various quarts of ice cream. I know I can make a difference in every students' stomach.
