Making a Serious Subject Simple Fun is My Goal!

Majored in Mathematics and Minored in Physics. Receive a BS degree from Cal State Fullerton. I tutored math extensively while going to college. Worked in the aerospace industry as a computer programmer for 10 years. Later on raised a family and helped my Son and Daughter with their Math and Science. I was effective up through the sophomore year of college.
At first, I assess the student's strengths and weaknesses. Addressing the weaknesses I make sure the student knows the definition of terms and work and spend time working to get this in place. I go over text with the student, and address and clear up misunderstanding. I attempt to get the student to work sample problems and help him/her out only as needed. I try to use interesting examples to sustain interest.

My comments on tutoring Physics : have taken 3 quarters of physics in college. Newtonian physics, electro-magnetic physics, wave and sound physics

I started tutoring in middle school in the field of math, science and history. When I was in High School I tutored kids for the clubs I was in such as the Spanish Honors Society, Math Club, National Honors Society, and California Scholarship Federation. On top of tutoring kids at my high school I would tutor elementary kids that were taking the high school placement exam on weekends at my high school. Now that I am in college I work in teams of 4 or 5 to help each other learn the engineering material.
I can teach either one to one or multiple kids. I have dealt with both cases and I when I am dealing with multiple kids I try to pair them up by their struggles so that they can overcome the obstacle together. My students do not have to buy any books as all the material will be provided to them and I combine my teaching skills with necessary youtube videos and pictures.
