After attending the University at Albany for four years I have accumulated a wealth of experience in Chemistry and Physics which has culminated in multiple accolades and two degrees. Previously, while a member of the national honor society in high school I tutored many elementary and high school students in subjects such as math, science, and history.
In my experience, most students under perform in science and math due to the an inability to relate theses subjects to practical real life examples. Connecting chemistry and physics principles with analogous real life examples is the key for students to become both interested and proficient in these subjects. A Little Bit About Me...

I began school as a Biology major for 2 years, so I have a great science background. I love to teach children. I finished my Masters program in December 07 and began teaching at the school I did my internship at, Briarcliff MS. I taught grades 6-8 and filled in for a Special Ed teacher at the end of the year. Also during that time I tutored a group of 6 graders in Math.
I don't think there is anything better than the feeling of helping a child learn. Every student have the ability to learn, we have to adapt our teaching styles so that all students can understand. I obtained a B.S. in engineering from Webb Institute in 1968, entered the U.S. Coast Guard and thereafter obtained a JD in Law from SUNY, Buffalo. I tutored underclassmen in calculus while at Webb and taught seventh and eighth grade math and science in a small catholic school, part time, while in law school.
