I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi in spring 2008 as an Honors program graduate. I am qualified to tutor in a variety of mathematical subjects. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in mathematics at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. I attended college later in life. Recently, the opportunity arose to better myself. I chose Early Childhood Education and then continued on to obtain my Bachelor's Degree. Following this, I returned to school for Nursing. Eventually, we moved to Texas where I applied,tested and obtained my LCCA License. While in New York State, I was employed through the Alternative Suspension Program as an LVN. While there,I assisted with the teaching of students. This in turn gave me the opportunity to obtain my certification in Teaching. I remained in this position for two years. During this time, I had my own case load of 5-8 students grade 7-12. Following this position, I was employed at a tutor for those youth who were home bound.

I love teaching and encouraging others. I really like to pass on my experiences. I am not a naturally smart person, I worked hard all through school and understand the challenges. I believe every child has the potential and just need to figure out their approach to subjects. I also believe that sometime we can mentally block ourselves in certain subjects with fear of difficulty. These are things that everyone can overcome. I think I have over time and succeeded. As a U. S. Naval Officer one of my main responsibilities was training my division as well as the other officers in my area of expertise. The training consisted of Anti-submarine warfare and Damage Control aspects of a Naval ship. I maintained and managed the training of all the fire fighting and damage control for the entire ship. This training consisted of lectures, presentations as well as hands on scenarios.
