I am a senior at the University of South Carolina Honors College. In May 2013, I will graduate with degree in Biology, a minor in English, and a cognate in Chemistry. My current GPA is 3.928. My comments on tutoring Literature : Avid reader, hundreds of hours worth of experience with German and English literature, both in German as well as English.

I am currently working on my Masters in German Studies, as well as getting my teaching license. I have plans to go through the TEFL program to earn certification in teaching English as a Foreign language. I have been studying and teaching German/ESL since high school. I also lived abroad in Russia for sometime, and am continuing to learn Russian on my own. I can also teach the basics of the Russian language.
I like to speak, slowly and thoroughly, in the language I'm tutoring in. For example, I would conduct most lessons in German, but at a slow and comprehensive pace, so that students are able to "pick up" on the German language as if it were second nature. If there is an issue with miscommunication, I switch to English, and explain the concept again in German.
