I was home-schooled until the sixth grade with my three brothers. I completed junior high at a private school and then graduated Salutatorian from a public high school. My parents operated a small day care that I worked in with school age children completing homework assignments. I have also worked in a Day Care as a caregiver for small children. Volunteering at a Family Literacy program and doing Student Practicums for three years followed by a semester of Student Teaching have all prepared me to teach children from all backgrounds with different educational and emotional needs.

As a mechanical engineering graduate from Penn State, I have vast experience with the principles of physics and mathematics. As a junior and senior in high school I tutored students in algebra and trigonometry. In college I tutored students in my own physics classes as well as volunteering my time as a tutor for engineering students in statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, basic electrical circuits, and heat transfer. A Little Bit About Me...

I love learning and the precision arts such as mathematics. This has driven me to begin in a computer career. I spent almost two decades applying my computer skills. Learning has never stopped for me. But then I love the outdoors and working with my hands. I have taught myself the carpentry trade and the concrete business. I started out by sitting down with the manuals and memorized the building codes before I built my own house. Recently I applied mathematics to a roof I was building. Simple, yes, but not everyone would take the time to lay it out on paper and get accurate measurements.
