I find that each person has a different learing style and try to find out what works for them. I also teach them that organization of thoughts and ideas are helpful in how they approach learning. I relate the subject matter to what is needed to learn and to something that they can relate to. A Little Bit About Me...

My own learning style is a combination of visual and auditory, which has led me to believe flexibility is key. There is no one “best” method which works for all students, so my primary job is to help the student teach me the way he or she learns best. My aim in tutoring, regardless of learning style, is to increase understanding to a point where my student can not only perform the desired action, but also “teach” the concept back to me without assistance. A Little Bit About Me...

Currently, I work for the Saratoga Springs and Ballston Spa school districts as a home instructor for grades 6 to 12. I enjoy working with the kids one on one and feel wonderful about helping them stay up to date with their school work until they are physically able to return to the regular classroom setting. Aside from home instruction, I also work regularly as a substitute for Saratoga County schools, and have built up a great working relationship with all faculty and students in each building that I am assigned.
