I have always loved learning, and as a result, I also pursued a minor in Chemistry, for the sheer love of science. I have more than six years of experience tutoring students in math, science, history, and English.
I try to guide the student to find a personal understanding of the concept. I would say that my teaching style is very interactive. Anyone can give instructions but I love feedback from a one on one situation as well as a group environment. I base alot of my instruction on analogies; when a person can relate an experience or another word to a term being tought, their understanding is broadened and 99% of the time embedded in the longterm memory. That to me is not only developing the ability to draw on a built up knowledge base, but also broadens ones ability to convey what has been learned.
