A Little Bit About Me...

I have home schooled two child over the past 16 years. Both children have excelled in school and are my pride and joy. I am presently a substitute teacher, and a creative arts teacher. I volunteer as an art teacher at the local community center; It gives the children a way to express themselves through art.

My teaching style is one generally "getting on the students level." I explain things in both word and action helping the student to understand more clearly. I have been able to achieve great results from my students by clearly explaining things to their understanding levels. I like to have fun with my students, using games and art as teaching tools when applicable, regardless of their age. I feel that all students learn differently and for that my teaching styles vary. I am a visual person so; I that all children can learn when shown examples of what I am trying to teach them. I am very hands-on as a teacher and I want your child to be involved in their learning. Above all, I love children and I feel that all children can learn if just given a chance.
In 2006, I earned my bachelors degree in Elementary Education K- 8th grades. My cognate was concentrated in the Socials Studies areas. I am currently enrolled in the Speech Language Pathology graduate program at Northeastern State University (NSU). In the program we are getting hands on training with one on one therapy/tutoring with students/clients in reading, grammar, phonics, and language skills. While in graduate school, I have written very many research papers and essays.
