I believe that all children have the ability to learn. It is simply a matter of communicating the right information to thr right field. I understand that different children and adults learn if different ways. I am patient and considerate, but will push gently when needed.
I have over 3 years experience in tutoring people in all math levels from basic math to calculus. I also have 10 years of experience in computer programming and 3 years in web design. One of my motivations is to make math, science, and computers applicable to what the student will experience in today's society. It is truly a passion of mine to communicate the need for math and science along with the concepts needed to succeed in school due to the experiences I have had in my 10 year engineering career. My degrees are BS in Electrical Engineering and Master's in Information Systems.

I have been an Engineer for over 20 years. I have 3 children the youngest in Middle school, the other 2 have graduated High Schcool. I hav ebeen mentoring in the community for 3 years in math and 4 years during college tutoring in math, engineering, and sceince. I come from a family of teachers, Mother-Elementary, Father-9th grade English, Brother-Middle School Math. There is not much I haven't seen or heard about children learning and I take the time to get to know the pupil before, during and after our sessions
My teaching style is process based. Know the fundamental process for solving a problem then repetition to recognize how to get to a solution. Through multipe problem solutions we are able to come to an understanding that it is not to hard to learn.

While putting my now seventh grader son through school, I have learned I have natural ability, desire and passion to teach, especially math, logic, statistics. I easily apply cases to the real world cases for easier understanding. I also discovered I have a simple driven mind for logic. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Computer Information Systems and should graduate from University of Illinois Chicago with my Masters of Engineering Degree at the end of 2010.
I know how and I love working with children. So far they all reciprocate positively. I believe I should use my education and experience along with my desire to transfer my knowledge to children who want and need to develop a solid, stable background in basic math, statistics and engineering.
