I have taught over 20 students during my undergraduate and graduate study. Most of the students that I have taught are engineering students who need help with the basic understanding of concepts and visualizing problems. The subjects that I normally teach are Chemical Engineering subjects, Engineering Physics, Chemistry and Basic Math classes. My wife teaches Computer Science, she possesses a Master's degree in Computer Science and has taught Java and C++ during her grad school. Everyone is different so the first lesson is always about finding the best way to teach that student. The three different ways that people learn are hearing, seeing, and doing but different combinations work better for different children. I believe that all children can meet their potential if they can be taught in an appropriate method. Children should be limited by their own preferences and not by a subject's "difficulty". By finding the proper method a tutor can and should mold their lessons for that method.
