Experience Summary
I have tutored students in Geometry for half a year officially, and tutored students in physics unofficially for the past 5 years. Before that I worked in a boy scout camp for 6 years and I have always worked well with children. I have earned a BS in Physics which has given me an understanding of many areas of science and my minor in mathmatics has given me a great understanding of math. I have writing skills from the technical and research papers I have writen. I would like to work on getting my Masters degree in physics next year and I want to get more official teaching experience under my belt.
Teaching Style
Everyone is different so the first lesson is always about finding the best way to teach that student. The three different ways that people learn are hearing, seeing, and doing but different combinations work better for different children. I believe that all children can meet their potential if they can be taught in an appropriate method. Children should be limited by their own preferences and not by a subject's "difficulty". By finding the proper method a tutor can and should mold their lessons for that method.
