As I suffered through my younger years with Attention Deficit Disorder, I feel that it is extremely important to appeal to almost all of the senses when teaching. As for myself, I am definitely a visual learner, so I feel that visual aids are important. I am a big fan of hand outs in full color. You will often find me drawing a picture on the board. I feel it is important to hear it and see it, and if you can, touch it. Another important teaching style I implement, is watching my students and making sure they know how to do it. Going around and walking each student through the process and asking them to do what I did really confirms that the student understands what I have taught them.

A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating from high school with high honors, I struggled to make the transition from that rigid environment, to one of endless possibilities. I weighed the pros and cons of a graphic design or teaching major, taking classes in both the first several years, until I discovered my true passion: writing. Once I began taking courses towards that degree, I never looked back.
