I am an Elementary Education Major at the University of Florida and have helped many students succeed in all subject areas, with a strong focus on Elementary Education. Some subjects that I particularly tutor in include: math, science, english, social studies, and language arts. I also supply a student with supplemental material I feel will help them learn better and at their own, individual pace. For instance, I believe that some students may learn better through visual exercises, and them others may learn through auditory (hearing) exercises. Either way, I try to figure out what a students learning style is and work on that with a student.

I obtained a B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in aquatic science, from Wittenberg University in 2006. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored elementary students in math and science twice a week for two years. After college, I moved into the marine science profession. In August of 2008, I started teaching High School Biology I, Earth and Space Science, and Physical Science to students in Polk County. In addition, after school hours were spent with two students taking AP Biology classes. Both students achieved a 4 or higher on their placement exams. I was raised on a farm in Iowa and attended school there until I was 13. In Zephyrhills, Fl, I was awarded valedictorian status for the class of '09. At Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University of Daytona Beach, Fl, I am a senior in the Accelerated Master's of Science in Engineering Physics degree program. This is a rigorous five-year program and is focused upon the engineering and physics involved in space systems. I remain in the Honor's Program and on the Dean's List.
