Hello, I am a recent UAB graduate. I graduated May 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with minor's in Psychology and Chemistry. I am currently in the process of applying to dental schools. Although I've had no previous experience as a paid tutor, I often get asked by fellow classmates for help with these sciences. My teaching style is easy to describe; I consider myself a 'coach' and as such I don't (and wont) give the students the answer to a particular problem, but rather I show them how to (and hold their hand, metaphorically, while they struggle to) find the answers themselves based on first principles, in my experience the only way to get them to really learn. Learning physics is particularly difficult for most students because they have been trained to memorize, not reason things out logically.
