My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : I took a variety of creative writing courses both in high school and college, and have a strong passion for the subject. I am experienced in both storyline, plotline, and the various aspects of the creative writing process, such as character development or exposition.

As an instructor, my style is usually to help a writer discover what they are trying to say, even if they aren't sure of it. From there, we can tackle the point and purpose of their story, which will help all of the other aspects click together. I can recommend short stories or novels by writers who seem to have the same style as the writer I'm working with, and will work with them to examine the methods and techniques that these writers use how they may be beneficial to my own students work. Ultimately, my goal is to make sure that the writer creates exactly what he set out to create. My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : Several published works in independent fiction publications. Two years experience as manuscript reviewer.

I believe in identifying where a student lies on the subject he/she is studying before going further. The advantage of one on one tutoring compared to classroom is that the lesson can be based around where the student’s strengths and weaknesses are rather than a blanket method. I also believe that the skills used in English can be best practiced and analyzed through writing rather than worksheets and tests. Therefore, I believe in having the student write on a variety of subjects and working through these pieces to show where they can improve.
