My comments on tutoring Sculpting : I've worked with quite a few different materials and could easily teach you how to hone your skills in from beginner to novice levels. No firing materials unless you have access to a kiln.

Hands on and detailed lecture. I talk fast, but I teach you to work fast as well. The hardest part of my lesson will be knowing when to put it down and call something finished. I love to laugh, be loud and have a great time. It's a joy to teach and I make sure it's a joy to learn as well.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Art Institute in 2004 with top honors and a nomination for Best Demo Reel. I taught for a semester in 2004 at the Institute and went on to teach privately the the next two years (tutor). I became a photoshop trainer at work and an Art Director of a million dollar graphic design firm by 2007. I have flown to Cape Town in South Africa and Canberra in Australia to teach crash course photoshop seminars- up to 8 people with no computer experience at all. I have lead a team of 15 in photo editing for a professional studio and still teach privately today.

Sculpting is one of my top subjects! I have been sculpting as a hobby for the past 12 years. I have experience in creating full size busts of various characters including the alien "Predator". My medium of choice is modeling clay "Chavant NSP Medium" although I have worked with other various clays. I have experience in life casting, mold making, prosthetic creation, and prop making. I am currently about to finish a T-Rex model inspired by Stan Winston's work in jurassic park, which I will be mass producing and selling as a paint it your self model in addition to creating a "Kickstarter" to help acquire funding. I am self taught and believe I can contribute a great deal not only in your sculpting ability but also your ability to continue learning and self teach.

I don't have much teaching experience but I will adjust my teaching style to each individual student's interests and needs.
I am a highly motivated individual that enjoys working with other. While having a solid education in Finance & Accounting I also pride my self in my artistic and creative abilities. My grandfather had me using power tools to build projects even in elementary school and I know that starting young and observing my grandpa has had a significant influence on my ability to teach my self and create essentially anything I set my mind to. I can assure you that my experience in sculpting will contribute greatly to your artistic ability and my well rounded knowledge will assist in nearly any project you would like to take on.

The scope of my teaching experience is non-traditional teachings. I taught middle school girls and adults in craft courses. While my children were in middle school, I volunteered in their arts and craft classes. I taught senior adults in a beginner Microsoft Office class at the Sunshine Senior Center in Deltona. While attending Daytona State College; Advance Technology Center was being build; I assisted an associate professor in ordering and setting up the materials testing laboratory. I volunteered to assist in teaching the first few classes. I find it very rewarding when a student has learned the subject and has a feeling a pride. That will follow them into the next subjects, with the sense that they can accomplish anything.
I do not have one teaching style. Just as people have individual learning styles, I adapt my teaching style to the student and to the course that I w ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I spent much time in college working with local teachers and tutoring their students. Upon graduation, I spent a year teaching 4th grade in a private school. In Florida, I continued teaching in a private setting, which was unique as it provided enriching education opportunities year-round. Here I developed my philosophy of education through instructing multi-age classrooms, developing and tailoring curriculum, and participating in entry-level administrative duties. In my recent Public Charter School experience, I instructed multi-grade and single-grade classes, continued tutoring, served on the REA Executive Board, functioned as the school-wide Testing Coordinator, and was an Assistant Principal Trainee.
My goal as a teacher is to meet the individual needs of students, teaching them “how” to learn, and guiding them towards their full potential as learners and citizens. I strive ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a deep passion for learning that has led me to the path of guidance for children today. I have always loved reading and writing, taking AP English classes in high school. I graduated from UCF with a BS in Psychology and have worked in the mental health field. In a residential treatment facility, I aided children to learn new behaviors/techniques to succeed at school and home. In school I took advanced research method classes and am inclined to scientific research and the field of science in general. I have tutored students in English and math, but also enjoy mentoring in social studies. I also have studied Spanish for 4 years and would feel comfortable tutoring the language at an elementary level.
I would describe my personal teaching style as sympathetic and demonstrative. In a one-on-one tutoring situation, I like to first lend a sympathetic ear to find out what a student ... read more

I started my career as an Electrical Engineer working for the Catholic Diocese in St. Louis, Missouri. As part of my requirements, I was asked to teach technology workshops to the Nuns and Brothers at the different Houses throughout the Metro St. Louis area. In so doing, I was encouraged to go back to college and secure a degree in Education; I was told I had a gift for teaching. As such, I now hold a BEd in Elementary Education and Special Education Mild/Moderate Disabilities. I also hold a Masters Degree in Educational Technology and a PhD in Learning Theory & Design. I have taught Middle School Special Education for 6 years and worked as a University Professor for 8 years.
I believe that authentic learning experiences are the most powerful. Each of us learns differently and for different reasons and we all have disabilities; some are just easier to see than others. Any true ... read more

I obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology, I worked very hard to receive my B.A in a field I enjoyed learning. I also hold an Exceptional Student Education Certification K-12. I have experience with exceptional education and mainstream students. I contain many years of experience working individually with students to achieve their educational goals.
Work well with accomidating others in the different learning styles. Having a hard time explaining to teachers and professors about their teaching approach made me aware of the situation. I love to teach others how to long for self motivation. I believe that anyone can learn as much as they would like if they think positive and continue to focus.

Tutoring provides the opportunity to teach in a way the traditional classroom rarely can; that precious one on one attention to a particular student's individual learning style, strengths and stumbling blocks. Often, a student's success depends less upon who their tutor is, than simply having a tutor at all. My experience with very academically challenged students has demonstrated that I seem to have a knack for finding the "sweet spot" that turns on the lights. Tutoring lets you know every day that you're making a difference for at least one student.
I have taught English/Language Arts for approximately 10 years, from 6th grade level through Freshman College. My strengths are in reading, writing instruction and vocabulary development. I have also tutored for SAT/ACT and FCAT prep. My goal with each student is to determine where their particular hurdles lie and tailor an appro ... read more

My priority in teaching is to help ALL my students realize they can achieve excellence. I expect respect and BEST effort in academics and behavior at all times. Students are eager to rise to this which I reward daily. I teach that learning is FUN! I love using hands-on activities where kids can use many senses. My classroom and materials are very organized, well prepared and student friendly. I post a daily schedule for students so they can learn structure, organization, what to expect and when. My students assume responsibilities in THEIR classroom and among their peers, and they are rewarded for this. Teaching is a HUGE privilege where I can inspire and enable children to build our world!
