I am an Elementary Education Major at the University of Florida and have helped many students succeed in all subject areas, with a strong focus on Elementary Education. Some subjects that I particularly tutor in include: math, science, english, social studies, and language arts. I also supply a student with supplemental material I feel will help them learn better and at their own, individual pace. For instance, I believe that some students may learn better through visual exercises, and them others may learn through auditory (hearing) exercises. Either way, I try to figure out what a students learning style is and work on that with a student.

Elementary Reading is one of my top subjects! I try to impart a love of reading in addition to the ability to read.

In groups large or small I have always individualized instruction. I get to know each student's interests and abilities, then build on the abilities using the interests. I believe students learn better when they find activities interesting and fun. I have had students come up to me in a hall years later saying remember when we did ... I believe that all children have the ability to learn. They each learn in a different way and at different rates but they all are able to learn. I promote a variety of teaching styles.
