A Little Bit About Me...

I beleive children learn hands on and it is an apporach to find what technique works for each child. I am patient, easy-going, get along well with others and with my educational background be a great candidate for this position.

Through my teaching experience, I have learned the importance of the relationship between the community and maintaining a positive classroom environment. As a student teacher I have had experience keeping parents involved with classroom activities and I believe that parental involvement is an important factor in creating effective teaching and learning for all students. Currently I am student teaching at Buffalo Public School #11, Poplar Street Academy. I lead small groups in the afternoon and use Harcourt Intervention to provide enrichment for struggling readers. I have taken statistics and gotten an A in the course and still have all course materials to give a general overview of statistics and how to use SPSS. I am knowledgeable on the software and would be able to answer questions on statistics because of how well I did and how I used to help others who struggled with the class.
My teaching style is to have a set of problems made up for the students to observe as examples to help understand certain chapters. I will assign additional problems if needed and focus on the subject matter that is the hardest for the individual to understand.
