I attended Thomas More College on an academic scholarship and graduated with honors in the spring of 2011 with a BA in Environmental Science. Presently, I am pursuing a Master of Biology degree at the University of Cincinnati, where I hold a University Graduate Scholarship as well as a Yates Scholarship. I worked as a private tutor from 2006 through 2011, and in 2008 and 2009 I also tutored through Thomas More College. Currently, I am an instructor for undergraduate biology labs at the University of Cincinnati. I have worked with elementary, high school, and college-aged students, providing instruction in subjects ranging from English to biology. I am comfortable teaching a group, but I also have ample experience working one-on-one with students. I believe that course material should engage students. I am a junior at Rollins College studying marine biology. I have many years of experience in the sciences with my main focus on biology/marine biology. I took AP Biology in high school and have spent the past three years furthering my education in marine biology. I am also proficient at Spanish. I took it for 6 years before college including AP Spanish, and was a Spanish tutor in high school. I am a very hands on learner so I like to get students actively involved in their learning. As an undergraduate I was named on the Dean’s list six times and was inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
