I love teaching kids. All kids can are different in the way they learn. you need to be able to recognize those kids who are auditory learners, and hands on learners and be able to make a good balance of both so both kids may benefit. I like to set goals for each tutor session weather it be something like learning the alphabet or knowing you first ten multiplication facts. You then need to set one long term goal for that child to reach. this way each day they feel as if they have succeeded and learned something. Range

In public schools, I have taught all grades 7-12. I have taught high school physics, high school chemistry, high school biology, 7th grade science. I received a minor in chemistry that required me to also take the calculus series in high school. I have also taken some higher levels of math in college such as Differential Equations. I have also taught all levels of band from beginners to high school. I perform in two different groups. I enjoy playing jazz the most. I have a background in psychology that qualifies me to function as a counselor in public schools. I am often described as laid back. I focus on the key components of learning and students are surprised when they understand more than they thought that they did.
