I am able to teach in any environment all while playing to the learning style strengths of my students, because everyone learns differently. Always encouraging and there are no wrong or "dumb" questions/answers. I write poetry a lot in my free time, I feel like that is one of the best ways to express yourself, through wtiting. I have a lot of practice and education in poetry. I am a High School Senior. I attend J. A. Fair High School in Little Rock, AR. I am a social person and I am really good at interacting with others. I am not self-centered and I help people whenever I can. I like when people ask me for help because it makes me feel like I'm doing something right and that I can make a small difference if nothing else. When I am tutoring others, I have a very hands on approach. I may offer help and hints, but I don't give away answers, I make people work for their grades. I try to make things interesting or entertaining when I'm tutoring, just so people don't get bored.

During and after earning my degree, I spent almost nine years working in healthcare as a medical assistant, teaching patients in a one on one environment. Most recently I was an Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor. I have given training presentations to groups from as small as three to as large as sixty. During this school year, I have worked as a substitute teacher for Calvary Christian Academy.I was involved in 4-H for 9 years. Through that opportunity I was instilled with a passion for community service. I have also volunteered as co-leader of church youth group and for the past two years worked as a helper in the classes for ages 10-13 in the AWANA Club at Calvary Baptist Church in Ozark. I always adapt my teaching style to fit the student. I am willing to do just about anything to help a student learn a subject, so long as that student is as dedicated to learning it as I am to teaching it. It takes two people working together in order to have a sucessful tutoring session. I have tutored most subjects in both in middle school and high school. My most recent experience was tutoring psychology and spanish at the college level. I do not hold a teaching certificate, but I do love to teach.
