I enjoy helping children master elementary skills that are the building blocks to their reading comprehension and finding ways to encourage them to read more books and to realize the significance of expressing themselves through writing. I enjoy finding the best way that each student learns (visual, auditory, or 'doing'). I also feel like I am able to help give my students self-confidence in their ability to ask questions and reach their goals.
I tutored four different children (1st-5th grade) over the course of four years for the Teton Literacy Program, a non-profit group located in Jackson, Wyoming.
