I enjoy taking what I know about a subject, weighing what my student's learning style is and then tailoring a lesson so that student best understands the material. I welcome the moment when the lesson "clicks" for the student and when subject matter on paper or in a book becomes personal knowledge. I enjoy helping children master elementary skills that are the building blocks to their reading comprehension and finding ways to encourage them to read more books and to realize the significance of expressing themselves through writing.
