My comments on tutoring Literature : I'm very familiar and experienced with British Literature, not so much American Lit. I do know some American Literature authors.

I'm patient. I'll try and make my lessons easy to understand. I know how frustrating language arts can be, but I also know how rewarding it can be as well. I can relate very easily to high school students, because I just graduated from high school 5 years ago.
I started tutoring in 2009 through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana. I tutor my "Little" for an hour once a week. I help with whatever subject they need. My specialty is Language Arts, but if you need help with basic math, I can do that too. I have observed many elementary, middle school, and high school classes. I know what works best, especially since I'm going to become a high school language arts teacher in a few years.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have six years experience working with children of all ages in an educational capacity. I worked as a literacy tutor and I taught autistic pre-schoolers in the public school system. I also recently returned from teaching English (ESL conversation, reading and comprehension, writing and grammar) in South Korea where I worked and lived for eighteen months. I am now currently working as a substitute teacher in the public school system teaching all ages.
