I have taught Latin, Spanish, ESL, English, and history in a number of situations and locales. I am now teaching a few classes at a high school and middle school in Virginia Beach. I have taught on almost all levels from junior high school to graduate college classes. I have taught in five countries and have much experience in cross-cultural situations. World History is one of my top subjects! I am a double History and French major at Hampden Sydney College. I have studied a wide range of history and maintain a passion for it. I havee scored highly on both AP and IB history exams, and I continue to do well in history classes at the collegiate level.

I am most interested in tutoring French, as it is the area in which I have the most tutoring experience, but am equally competant in history tutoring. I have helped many lower level French students at my school, and I like to help people in the pursuit of learning a language as I feel it is a very important tool for modern people. I have also helped many students at my high school prepare for, and do well on, IB and AP exams in both the field of history and French.

After retiring from the Navy I went to work in the school system as a security assistant. After one year I resigned and went to Norfolk State University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a major concentration in Learning Disabled and a minor in Emotionally Disturbed.
