A Little Bit About Me...

I hold a Master's degree in Education, as well as teaching certification in English. During the last seven years, I have taught students of all educational backgrounds in various capacities. I have been an English teacher in both private and public sectors, as well as in subjects of basic math and science. I have experience with gifted learners, students with learning or language difficulties, or those who speak English as a second language. I have tutored individually in areas such as reading, writing, basic math, ESL, grammar, spelling and phonics.

I believe in diversity in teaching styles because each student is unique and each has different abilities in various areas. As a substitute in the Woodburn School district I could pick up material quickly and teach in various teaching styles depending on the classroom.
After graduation, I taught on a transitional teaching license. I taught in the Woodburn School District. I then went to Japan and taught English as a second language. I grew up between Bolivia and the United States and speak Spanish and English fluently.
