I recently received my Bachelors Degree from the University of Michigan, where I studied English and Spanish. I chose a rigorous course schedule which allowed me to greatly develop my writing, editing, proofreading, and critical thinking skills. During my sophomore year of college, I began to facilitate creative writing workshops with youth and adults. This included editing and correcting for grammar as well as content, and providing useful feedback to my students. I continued with this work throughout college, and even after graduating. I worked in the Math Department, as either a tutor or a Teaching Assistant, for the past three years. As a Teaching Assistant I led a 50 minute recitation of the material, graded materials, and kept records for my 30 students. As a tutor I helped MSU undergraduates learn key concepts and study for their upcoming exams. I worked in the Algebra room and the Calc I room. I helped out a little in the Calc II room, but I never had time, as a full time student myself, to review the material and refresh my memory, so I was much less helpful than I should have been.
