I have worked for 20 years in the Awana, youth organization, teaching children from ages 3 through High School. I enjoy teaching students through a variety of methods including traditional, hands on, and student specific. Each student learns differently and as a tutor I seek to tailor the education to the specific skills and needs of the specific student. I believe the goal of teaching is not only to learn specific content and skills, but to inspire students to love learning, and make learning fun and interactive. I really enjoy being around kids and helping them learn new things. When you teach a kid something and they finally get it, the sight of their face lighting up is priceless. I believe that one should teach using a variety of methods because all kids do not learn the same way and each individual method shows something new each time. I believe that all kids can learn so much if they work as hard as they can and put forth maximum effort. I think it is very easy to learn/teach using as many hands on examples as possible.
