I have always had a thirst for knowledge& my wide experience base enabled me to tutor high school&college level &special needs students in math, science, communication, social studies, English,dance, test prep,etc. My love of helping people learn also inspired me to be a substitute teacher for students from K-12th grade. As a graduate of a small liberal arts college, I have spent many hours volunteering to help tutor my classmates in both biology and the humanities. I hold a bachelor's degree in biology. I have learned extensive grammatical skills through my school's intensive general studies program. I am confident in my ability to tutor students in mathematics, science, English and the humanities at the K-12 level and biology and English at the college level. I believe that students best learn from doing. My role as a tutor is not just to provide answers, but to facilitate and encourage learning. However I am also able to provide a knowledge base in a number of subjects to help answer questions the student may be struggling with. I am comfortable working with children of all ages to help them meet their full learning potential as students.

As a communication disorders major I have acquired an understand and love for working with children. During my internship I was able to work one-on-one with children who have language disabilities. It was through this internship that I learned what a reward it can be to help others, and to see them flourish intellectually. I have always believed that each child is truly unique. I However do not believe that all education and forms of it, should be uniform. Working with children with special needs has allowed me to be able to get to know the student and adjust the curriculum so that the child will be able to benefit the most from!
