I have always loved working with kids and feeling like I am making a difference in someone’s life. Since I have entered the teaching profession I have worked with children of all elementary levels. This experience has provided me with the tools to work with all types of children from grades K-5. Since I have graduated from IUP I have worked primarily in an urban setting which has afforded me the opportunity to work with children of various backgrounds from affluent to homeless. I have done various forms of tutoring in Reading and Math in preparation for the state administered tests. My ability to break things down to a level where students can understand more thoroughly has always been a string point for me. This coupled with my ability to develop a strong rapport with students has produced a positive result. I have large amounts of energy and enthusiasm that children gravitate to. On the recent term assessment for Charlottesville City Schools my children scored an 86% average.
