During and after completing my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I spent eight years as a volunteer tutor and three years as a paid tutor. I worked for Sylvan Learning Center in Melbourne, Florida and, most recently, as an AVID tutor for a school district in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I have worked with students in grades K-10 in all subject areas. I then got a job as a laboratory teaching assistant.
