Before deciding to return to graduate school in 2006, my relevant professional experience included teaching LSAT courses through Kaplan in the Washington, DC area during 2005. Previously, I had tutored high school students in languages and math with University Instructors from 2003-2004 in Williamsburg, VA. I also taught English classes to high school and middle school children in 2002. Additionally, I spent two summers (2001-2002) working as a preschool teaching assistant. My most recent teaching experience includes instructing ESL classes as a volunteer with Intercambio de Comunidades in Denver, CO between 2009-2010.

I love to be hands-on in my tutoring. I feel that problem solving is the key to understanding a topic. As a student at Western State College in Gunnison, CO I have been tutoring students and fellow athletes in Math for the past year. I have enjoyed the work I have done so far in this area and was looking to further my experience in this field throughout the Gunnison area. I expect to graduate with my BA in 2011.
