A Little Bit About Me...

So far, I have gained insight into the inquisitive and intellectual critique of humanity in studying anthropology at the undergraduate level. My studies opened me to living as well as working abroad, excavating archaeological sites in Chile to teaching PE and history in Honduras. I tutored students ages 7-53 in subjects such as English as a second language, history, cultural anthropology, and Spanish. Teaching in Honduras culminated my tutoring experiences in a formalized, calendar based lesson planning. I had dabbled in tutoring with different organizations like Oak Street Study Buddy in Plattsburgh, NY as well as RAICES, s Spanish language learning club at college. I am a lover of English - good writing and good grammar never go "out of style." As such, I love to instill a love of reading in those whom I teach. I am a visual learner, but this does not preclude my keen awareness and full acceptance of other modes of learning. I am someone who holds herself to a very high standard of efficiency and accuracy, but I try to convey the need for these in a student by having fun with the subject at hand, be it English, Theater or Business.
