I have worked with various needy students who have been classified as learning disabled, or those who know they are in need for assistance. My experiences vary, as I worked with older children in filling out applications for jobs and to prepare for jobs. I also, have worked with many adults on writing papers for college preparation or with helping their children on writing tasks. I have worked with young children on phonics and reading readiness. I have volunteered in a school district for just over 3 years and when I do volunteer I assist children in the classroom who have problems in their reading and math. By assisting these students they have improved on their tests as well as gaining confidence in their learning. I work really well one on one with the child who needs such assistance but also in small groups. If needed to assist a child online it can be done as long as there are materials available for the child that is provided by the school.
