I have earned a Bachelor’s in Biology from West Texas A&M University and a Minor in Chemistry and Animal Science. I was home schooled through grade school, and I had to opportunity to help my younger brothers with their studies at home as well. Because my mom was a high school English teacher while I was home schooled, I am strongly educated in English and have had experience writing all types of papers. A Little Bit About Me...

As one who received a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, I've always loved education. With corporate background I have excellent grammatical and communication skills. In the corporations in which I worked, I wrote training manuals and trained and counseled managers and supervisors. During the past 8 years I have tutored students in math, psychology, spatial orientation, writing and reading. I also work with the Feurstein MLE program.
I enjoy teaching children of all ages, particularly on a one-to-one basis. In addition, I learn from the children. I believe a child learns best through individual attention and the opportunity to have those "aha" moments. People of all ages can meet and exceed their potential. While working on my BS in Psychology I worked part time as a respite provider for children with brain, emotional, or behavioral disorders. Though I focused more on teaching social skills, I learned first hand that each child has a different way of learning and that not just one style is effective, especially for any special needs child. In addition to remaining patient throughout the learning process, I would strive to find whatever style of learning is most successful with each child's needs.

After emigrating to the United States and serving 4 years in the US Air Force I pursued a career in IBM Mainframe Programming.
