I can adapt my teaching style to auditory, visual or hands-on type learning. I try to create a relaxed and fun (silly for the little ones) atmosphere where learning will be fun and memorable, because I believe that if you enjoy it - you'll remember it. If they can see real life applications for the skills they are learning they will become engaged and enthusiastic. I graduated from Adams State College in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and an Emphasis in Literacy. I was a substitute teacher for grades K-5 for one semester. I began teaching Third Grade in the Fall of 2005. I taught all general subjects as a Third Grade teacher for 4 years. I also have experience as a Fifth Grade reading teacher.
