With volunteer work at women's shelter's, I read to and helped elementary-age kids learn to read during my time spent with them.
I love being with and teaching children, especially when it comes to reading and books. My superior at Yavapai College who monitored my classes in order to write his evaluation, remarked once that "...you have the patience of an angel." I don't know whether this is entirely correct since I haven't had a personal encounter with such a heavenly body, but I consider myself to be a kind and patient instructor who also loves for her students to learn. Since each child/adult learns in a different way, I believe that it is important to pay attention to individual learning styles. I am creative, resourceful, and constructive.
