I am a very patient but straight foreward individual who love expressing ideas with various examples. I am hands on and a visual learner. Therefore, I make sure along with telling or giving directions each person will also get the picture with it. Upon earning my International Baccalaureate diploma in high school, I immediately decided teaching music was what I wanted to do. I attended the University of South Carolina and performed in many professional music ensembles including: USC Orchestra, USC Wind Ensemble, USC Symphonic Band, USC Percussion Ensemble, Palmetto Pans and I also performed and a recorded a full length album with a band that was voted best in Columbia, SC. In 2004 and 2005 I marched with the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps and greatly enhanced my teaching, playing and performing abilities. Since then I have been teaching in the public education system and loving it.

I have a thourough knowledge of music and can teach reading, theory, basic improvisation, and technique on virtually band instruments. I currently play the trumpet and sing in church and I love wrking with students at all levels.
