I worked for Kankakee Community College for one year as a Math and Spanish tutor in 2006 and 2007. During this year, I honed the mathematics I learned through high school as well as the four years of Spanish I had taken to that point. After a year, my classes conflicted with my tutoring schedule but I still wanted to help fellow students so I started independently tutoring. After a year of doing so, I went on hiatus to focus on my final two semesters which centered around extensive lab work as well as research writing.
I believe in taking a casual approach in tutoring. From previous experience, I have found that many times students understand the material but tend to get flustered in a classroom environment. A Little Bit About Me...

I'm a 2009 Illinois Central College (ICC) graduate majoring in Engineering Science. I have taken almost all the math classes offered at ICC, and for the whole year of 2008, I have worked as a math tutor with the ICC Math Lab in the East Peoria Campus. I have tutoring experience in the following classes: Computational Math, Beginning Algebra, Technical Math, Geometry, Intermediate Algebra, Trigonometry, College Algebra, Finite Math, Business Calculus, Precalculus, Calculus I, II & III and Differential Equations. I also tutor different levels of Physics and Chemistry.
From my experience of working the Math Lab at ICC, I have noticed that for some students, math is a rather difficult subject to them.
