Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have..

In my experience, I have helped a couple of individuals in my past, considered mainly of collegues that attended Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical college and the Orangeburg County Library in Orangeburg, SC. While I am attending the library, some individuals who sit next to me ask for help on.. Microsoft office, or internet documents that they need help in printing.
I am very patient. My mother was a teacher and liked helping children and I believed that her genes have rubbed off on me as well. I like to help others succeed. I believe that an individual does not have a disadvantage, but a advantage when they make up their mind to do something. They can become great.

While attending Claflin University in the pursuit of obtaining duel BA's in the field of journalism and sociology, my off times was spent in the middle schools of Orangeburg, SC for nearly six years. I spent 4-5 hours in the classroom (daily) as an assistant and tutor/mentor in language arts classes grades 6-8. My majoring in sociology allows me to use human behavioral knowledge to reach kids effectively in order to sustain their focus which allows them to embrace the concept of learning. I have extensive grammatical skills due to I have worked as a journalist for a daily newspaper and written several research papers that has been published in respected journals. As a tutor/mentor, I have also worked with two youth organizations during the summer months for over five years. My tutoring skills cover the subjects of English, Science, and History.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a varied educational and professional background with experience in teaching students in several venues. In high school, I tutored math and reading to elementary students. I taught reading and religion immediately after graduation in 1991. As a young professional, I taught economics with the Junior Achievement program. My needs for additional business training lead me to work on a business degree with a focus on accounting. I coached youth soccer for four years and later went on to coach high school soccer. I hold both a recreational and youth coaching license from SCYSA. I currently tutor youth in reading and data interpretation.
