While attending Claflin University in the pursuit of obtaining duel BA's in the field of journalism and sociology, my off times was spent in the middle schools of Orangeburg, SC for nearly six years. I spent 4-5 hours in the classroom (daily) as an assistant and tutor/mentor in language arts classes grades 6-8. My majoring in sociology allows me to use human behavioral knowledge to reach kids effectively in order to sustain their focus which allows them to embrace the concept of learning. I have always excelled in writing and grammar. While at Duke University, I had a minor in English. I currently work at a large manufacturing company as the copywriter/communications coordinator. In this role, I prepare press releases, articles, and other corporate documents that require me to have excellent writing and analytical skills.
