A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching college level mathematics since 2007. Previously, was manager of a Mathnasium and provided instruction to children in mathematics from K-12. I was able to successfully tutor many high school aged students while earning my Ph.D. I am currently teaching at the University of Cincinnati at Blue Ash. A Little Bit About Me...

This past school year I worked with a senior high school student on his pre-calculus schoolwork; we met once a week and he was able to improve his grade enough to pass the class and keep his athletic scholarship to Indiana Tech. I also mentored a freshman high school student in the area once a week and participated in the tutoring program at the South Bend Juvenile Correctional Facility.
I always try to encourage the student to do the problems on his or her own, especially in math. I feel I have enough experience in math to be able to try different angles or come up with examples to help the student understand the concepts. I hope to help the student think positively and realize that he or she can do anything if he or she believes.

I have always been passionate about working with different students and finding their unique learning strategies. I am supportive and very patient, but persistent in the achieving success for the student. My ultimate goal is above teaching subjects. It is to provide the student with a love for learning and the skills needed in tackling academic tasks.
Having graduated with a BS in Mathematics I am now continuing my passion for learning while pursuing a masters degree in Nurse Anesthesia. My liberal arts degree from Hillsdale College has given me extensive work in all areas of learning.
