I was in a program called "Study Buddies" all four years at high school. I would devote a couple afternoons a week tutoring middle school students (and eventually high school students). During this time I would help them study for tests, complete assigned work, or help clarify any material that the student didn't understand. Also, I helped these students develop their writing and grammar skills. Starting my junior and senior year of high school, I began "one on one" tutoring with selected individuals. Study buddies was a program where several students would show up and the helpers would assist accordingly, but when I began tutoring I specifically met with them at assigned times. I'm in my senior year of High School, I have worked with my siblings on their school all of my life. I've helped my little brother who has ADHD with his homework, I've worked with him through book projects, spelling tests, history homework, pretty much anything and everything. I'm also very talented in the English area, writing and grammar specifically. Can write with both my right and my left hands, I work well with children no matter the age. I am a very adaptable teacher--I can easily pick up on a student's needs and abilities, and work to their strengths in that way. I enjoy not only helping them learn, but also their backstory and considering how it affects their learning style. I also have an innate love of learning, and feel that it's a great gift to help someone realize their own potential.
