I tend to be really flexible and try to adapt my teaching style to the learning style of the student. For students who tend to be more tactile, I might have them handle apples if a math problem references apples. If a student is working on a writing assignment, I will offer suggestions (such as marking spelling/grammar/punction mistakes) and help them learn how to correct the errors so they won't continue to make the same errors in the future.

My comments on tutoring Elementary Science : I have worked for Laredo Independent School District as Math and Science Interventionist in an elementary setting.

I have worked in a wide variety of socioeconomic school settings, which makes me quite versatile when it comes to my approach to teaching. I start from the ground-up, first forming a cognitive scaffold for a subject by teaching the very basics. From there we branch off into more and more complex tasks. I have experience with graphic design and animation programs and love to use technology aids whenever possible.
