Teaching children of all ages is my passion. A few of my skills include the ability to be able to communicate with children on a level they understand, assess their learning style, and provide access to materials that will enhance their learning. Because I have taught at the Homelink program for so long and have worked with children of all ages, I feel comfortable with any age or learning style, and am very patient. I enjoy working with children and get a kick from seeing a discovery or understanding in a students eyes. I've had the opportunity to collect numerous bio. samples for hands on experience. I have also taken workshops in the workings of google earth as a teaching tool along with mapping and watershed principles.I feel I have benn successful in elightening many student's lives. I tutored math in college for 3 years, mainly algebra and trigonometry. I received a BS in Mathematics with a secondary education certificate. I was a substitute math teacher for seventh and eighth grade pre-algebra classes for 10 weeks. Afterwards, I had various jobs in finance. As one of only 60 graduates in the Biochemistry&Molecular Biophysics program, I have extensive training in mathematics, physical/organic chemistry, and biophysics.
