I have had the opportunity to serve students of many ages, academic levels, and backgrounds. Over the past four years I’ve enjoyed teaching in the Petal School District on the high school level. I taught and tutored students within the general education setting, as well as within the special education classroom. I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Deaf Education. I loved working with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, but it was extremely hard finding a job doing that in my area. Due to that fact, I started tutoring as many kids from the local schools as much as possible and I loved doing it. That also motivated me to work on adding endorsements to my teaching license so that I can teach regular education as well. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a very patient person, and patience is always a necessity when you are teaching a child and helping him/her to understand anything. I am the oldest of four children and I have always had to help them with homework growing up so I know ways to keep their attention on their studies. I have learned that children have to visualize, and see what is happening in order to get a complete understanding. After graduated with a BS in Agriculture Economics from Alcorn State University in May 2000, I have worked as an Agricultural Statistician for the National Agricultural Statistics Service. While working with NASS, I have taking a creative writing class to improve my writing ability. I have also taking Calculus I, II, and III to build on my math skills.
