Special Education is one of my top subjects! I worked as a social worker and coached children in the school and home setting.

My teaching style incorporates all learning styles, because I am a firm believer that we all learn differently. I am a very patient and passionate teacher. Being excited about the subject is key to being a successful teacher. However, I expect my students to be motivated and to give 100 percent effort to their studies.
I studied Elementary Education during my undergraduate. During this time, I was a student teacher on several different occasions. I assisted the home room teacher and independently planned and taught lessons to the students. I have worked with grades 1 to 5 as a student teacher. I have had a very large variety of teaching experiences. During my teaching practicums at Indiana State University, I was able to teach a number of subjects. I taught in the areas of science, math, social studies, and English. I was able to teach math and social studies to a gifted and talented 2nd grade classroom. I was able to assist in all areas in a mild to moderately disabled classroom. I was able to teach English at the high school level to mild to moderately disabled students. I was able to teach science to 1st and 6th grade students. I was able to work as a reading specialist to students grades K-1st.
